About Our High-Grown Ceylon Tea

Grown at elevations typically above 1,200 metres, teas from Nuwara Eliya and Dimbula benefit from cooler temperatures, fresh mountain air, and slow leaf growth. These conditions allow flavour to develop gradually, resulting in teas that are bright, aromatic, and exceptionally clean on the palate.

Our teas are made using traditional orthodox production methods, preserving the natural structure of the long leaves and allowing their character to unfold fully during brewing. Expect a refined cup with notes of fresh citrus, light florals, gentle fruit and soft malt, finished with a crisp, refreshing brightness.

Naturally high in caffeine yet never heavy, high-grown Ceylon tea offers an uplifting brew that feels both energising and elegant.

Nuwara Eliya & Dimbula Two Expressions, One Standard

Though neighbouring regions, Nuwara Eliya and Dimbula each bring their own personality to the cup.

Nuwara Eliya teas are often lighter in colour and delicately perfumed, with floral notes and a refined, almost champagne like character.
Dimbula teas tend to be slightly fuller bodied, offering gentle citrus brightness and a smooth, rounded finish.

Together, they represent the finest expression of high grown Ceylon tea, elegant, balanced, and unmistakably distinctive.

High grown Ceylon tea is best enjoyed when brewed thoughtfully (please see our brewing guide). Use freshly drawn water and allow the leaves time to release their delicate character.

It can be enjoyed black to appreciate its natural brightness (our recommendation), or with a splash of milk for a softer, more rounded cup. Its clean profile makes it ideal for morning refreshment, afternoon clarity, or a refined iced tea.

By focusing solely on high-grown teas from Nuwara Eliya and Dimbula, we celebrate a style of Ceylon tea defined by altitude, restraint, and elegance. Every cup reflects the climate, landscape, and skilled hands behind the harvest.
