Our Story
Élevé Réserve is a family owned tea brand, thoughtfully crafted in London and rooted in generations of Sri Lankan tea heritage.
My relationship with tea began in my late teens, during the early 2000s, on journeys through the mist covered highlands of Nuwara Eliya. Travelling by train from Kandy, I passed sweeping landscapes of emerald green tea estates, where tea had been cultivated for over a century. These were not just journeys; they were a return to a place of belonging.

Where Our
Passion for Tea Began
The defining moment came in 2024, during an immersive visit to a traditional tea factory in Nuwara Eliya. There, I witnessed the meticulous artistry behind producing fine Ceylon tea, from leaf to cup. Tasting the different varieties revealed remarkable depth, elegance, and complexity. Each brew told a story of terroir, craftsmanship, and time honoured expertise.
I brought these exceptional teas back to London to share with my wife. As we brewed and tasted them in our kitchen, her own memories came to life, childhood days spent in her grandparents’ tea estates, surrounded by the rhythm and ritual of plantation life. She recalled watching skilled tea pickers gently hand pluck the finest leaves, carefully weighing each harvest, and learning that true quality is never rushed. In that moment, Élevé Réserve was born.

We realised our purpose was to curate and present the finest premium Ceylon long leaf teas to the UK, and, in time, to Europe and beyond. Today, Élevé Réserve stands for heritage, refinement, and uncompromising quality, honouring Sri Lanka’s legendary tea legacy while appealing to the modern connoisseur.

We built our brand on a simple belief: purity creates excellence. That is why we work with a single origin, a single estate, and only two of the finest orthodox grades: FBOP and OP1. OUR SOURCING
How We Select Every Tea
Most tea companies blend. We don’t. Every tea in the Élève Réserve collection is traceable to a single estate, a single flush, and a single grade. This is not a marketing choice — it is a commitment to quality that cannot be faked.
Our sourcing team visits each estate in person during the harvest window, cupping hundreds of lots before selecting the one that meets our standard.
Single Estate Only
No blending across gardens, regions, or seasons. Every lot is exactly what it says it is.
Direct Relationships
We buy directly from estate managers. No brokers, no auctions, no middlemen between our cup and the garden.
Top 2% Selection
We cup extensively before committing. Only the lots that reach our benchmark are offered in the Reserve Collection.
Certified & Transparent
All partner estates hold ecological or biodynamic certification. Full traceability documentation is available on request.
