What is FBOP (Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe)?
FBOP stands for Flowery Broken Orange Pekoe, a premium grade made up of smaller, carefully broken tea leaves.
This grade is known for its ability to produce a rich, flavourful and well-balanced infusion, making it ideal for high-quality tea bags. It has enough room to move in the tea bag to make best cup of premium tea
At Élevé Réserve, our FBOP teas are used in our 20 and 40 tea bag collections to deliver:
- A smooth and consistent flavour
- A quicker infusion without sacrificing quality
- A refined everyday tea experience
What is OP1 (Orange Pekoe 1)?
OP1, or Orange Pekoe 1, refers to long, unbroken whole tea leaves.
This grade is considered more delicate and refined, producing a lighter-bodied tea with greater complexity and aroma.
At Élevé Réserve, OP1 is reserved for our loose leaf collection, offering:
- Full leaf integrity
- Enhanced aroma and depth
- A more nuanced and elegant cup
